SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The support position developed for intervention encounters a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it SRD tricky for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
